National Night Out 2022 May 04, 2022 |
Hello Williamstown!
As you may be aware, the Williamstown Police Department will again be hosting this year’s National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2nd from 3 – 7 pm at the Spruces. This is a town-wide, free event, offering lots of fun activities and educational stop-points throughout, as well as food, beverages and frozen treats.
National Night Out is a community collaborative that rides under the idea that by working with members, leaders and neighbors within the community, the community as a whole will become a stronger, safer place. The event is designed to create and strengthen police and community partnerships as well as bring people together that allows everyone to discover and rediscover that we are all part of one Williamstown community. This process will work to broaden awareness in all aspects of social programs, resources, and to hear and acknowledge current societal concerns. It is an especially important endeavor for Williamstown.
With that said, it is my hope to have your organization join in and participate in this year’s National Night Out. We would love to hear any ideas that you have. The fun part of an event like this is the level of creativity the groups can bring.
Andi Bryant is the current Chair of the National Night Out committee and community point person. Having a community liaison in Andi will ensure there is outreach to all diverse areas of our community with trust, understanding and confidence. She can be reached at (413)-281-8683 or at WilliamstownNNO@outlook.com. As always, you can also reach out to me.
I hope you find participating in this year’s National Night Out as exciting as we do and am looking forward to working together, as one big community.
Hope to see you there!
Michael Ziemba,
Interim Police Chief
